The Substance Addiction Prevention Collaborative is a partnership between the Springfield Department of Health and Human Services, youth development organizations, clinical practices, school districts, and other partnering entities to prevent youth substance use of narcotics of first use (alcohol, marijuana, and tobacco and tobacco products). This page offers resources to assist youth, young adults, and families in getting the support they need to foster a healthy lifestyle.

Our mission is to promote primary prevention of substance use by:

  • Increase knowledge to youth, caretakers, and community members
  • Minimize harmful consequences
  • Increase public available treatment sources
  • Educate, engage and advocate for recovery support services
